Frost & Keeling services as the General Contractor and turn-key contractor performing the Design and Construction of a complete pneumatic function test facility at Tinker Air Force Base. Our team designed the instrumentation system and provided the completely functioning software, including tests for different aircraft components. Some of the key elements of the installation included a 3000 HP primary centrifugal air compressor, two 150 HP boost compressors, a 10 ton bridge crane, a 6000 cubic foot 900 psig air storage tank, a gas fired air heater, supplemental electric process air heater. Some of the software attributes of the system include a data acquisition system capable of collecting data at rates of 100,000 readings per second with computer screen updates at .5 second intervals and completely functional test for 16 aircraft components ranging from cooling turbines to starter valves.
